The God In Me

Galatians 2:20
“20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”

What does it mean to be crucified? In the dictionary, crucified means, “to put (someone) to death by nailing or binding them to a cross, especially as an ancient punishment; or to criticize (someone) severely and unrelentingly.” Jesus and the two thieves were crucified. To be crucified is not just to be crucified physically; we can be crucified mentally and emotionally also. We must keep all of God's 10 commandments. We are not perfect. When we are crucified with Christ, God crucifies things inside of us that are not good for us and helps us to fix ourselves. The God in me can then stand up. When you have Jesus Christ in your life, God will fight your battles.

The God in me will provide us with the following:

1. God will convict us.

2. God’s word will lead and guide us.

3. God's word will restore us.

When the doctors gave up Brother Lamar, God did not. He was sick and in great pain and the doctors could not figure out what was going on in his body. However, God healed him. The God inside of you will stand up for you. Jesus Christ died for us. He loved us. God chose to come down from heaven through his son Jesus Christ to save us. The God in us is bigger than any storm we are going through. Out of love Jesus came down from heaven. We can be lighthouses to this dark world that we live in. It makes a complete impact when we stay with God. Even children can make a difference in our lives. Be a lighthouse to your community and family; because the God in us will be there to support and help us. Amen.
